Role Option Display Prototype

This prototype was created to demonstrate how configuration can adjust the display of role options on the Role screen. There are two display options: a drop down list or a series of check boxes.

Prototype Explanation

The RoleScreen rule is the only configuration involved in this prototype. An explanation of the enhancements is provided below.

  • The RoleScreen in the Dynamic Prototype Plan shows the optional <DisplayRoleFields> section of the configuration. To view configuration, navigate in the Global Explorer to Business Rules | Plan Rules | RoleScreen | Plan Overrides | RoleScreen (Dynamic Prototype Plan) .

    • A value of Yes was added to the <DisplayRoleFields> element. This will cause the role options on the Role screen to display in a drop down box.

View Prototype in OIPA

  1. Log in to OIPA using the Prototype Company user ID and password.

  2. Open an existing policy in the Dynamic Prototype plan, or create a new one.
  3. Click Roles in the Left Navigation menu to open the Roles screen.
  4. Click the Find Client tab.
  5. Notice there is a Roles drop down list containing all applicable roles.
